Farm-made blueberry scones
  • 2 Cups of Flour
  • 1/4 Cup White Sugar
  • 3/4 Tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Cup Butter, Softened
  • 1/4 Cup of Milk
  • 2 Pints Fresh Blueberries
  1. Sift together all dry ingredients into a mixing bowl
  2. Mix in softened butter until fully incorporated and no pieces of butter remain. Do no overmix.
  3. Turn mixer to low and slowly add milk until JUST combined. Mixture should be rough, not smooth, and stick to your hand but roll off slowly.
  4. Hand stir-in fresh blueberries into batter
  5. Scoop with a large spoon or ice cream scoop onto parchment lined baking sheet
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Drizzle with a mixture of confectioners’ sugar, small amount of milk and lemon zest.
